As the title suggests, for this album I migrated almost completely away from any sampled sounds and started to fully produce multi-layer songs, playing every instrument.

Real is looser and more organic than previous works, to be sure. Ironically, the opening song is one of only 2 tracks that use samples on this album.

I was teaching myself to play drums, and had just purchased an acoustic guitar, so the singer-songwriter started coming out - 7 and The Plague are good examples.

Two comedy (or not) tracks - Only You and The Brotherhood of Aquaman - are included, inspired by Monty Python.

Art vs Art ‘04 was written with Lanny Boles for Primary Colours’ legendary fundraiser.

Kokomo contains samples from James Rowand's My Hometown, Kokomo. We're from the same town.
