Mixed media sculpture

<3 is an assemblage designed to speak to the frailty of human life, the programmed machine. Analog vs digital questions are raised. Are we really autonomous, or are we pre-destined and given a certain number of heartbeats at birth. Strong enough to last a lifetime but completely breakable, our hearts themselves are shorthand for love. While in constant battle with the head (another mechanism with its own agenda), the heart looks for wonder, propels us to greatness, and makes us vulnerable enough to allow us to be hurt. That’s a lot for one little organ.
