Caliperpillar
Recycled bike parts sculpture
Caliperpillar is a whimsical anthropomorphic construct built for the reCYCLE pARTS exhibition at the Stutz Gallery. It won best in show. The sculpture imagines a large multi-ped sentient mechanical insect. My goal was to give personality and interaction to inanimate objects by grouping them together in a specific way. The stuff of nightmares or an immortal robot pet. You choose.
